Panda Update: Link Building Strategies

As we’ve learned, the Panda update was Google’s attempt to flush out the sites that had low quality content. This means that several article directories were impacted. People sat back and wondered how Panda would affect the link building strategies that were already in place.

We already covered article marketing, but we’re mentioning it again here briefly because it is still an important part of link building. Just be sure to follow the strategies that were already outlined.

Also, by now, many of the stronger directories, such as Ezinearticles, have nearly recovered from Panda’s aftermath. When you do choose sites to do

your article marketing, make sure your pick sites that aren’t on shaky ground and  that  have  flushed  out  their  inferior  content  and  have  regained  their authority.

Another thing to focus on is on the notion of quality over quantity. Instead of writing ten 400 word articles, consider writing one or two articles that are longer in length. Choose a few credible article directories and post them only once. Take care to enhance the value of the website you post on. This, in turn, will boost the quality of the link coming into your site.

Other people have reported that they experienced a hit with their site traffic right after Panda first happened. Sites like Ezinearticles were hit and those webmasters who primary focused on one or two  article directories were hit the worst. The lesson here is to spread your link building over several solid domains rather than focusing on only one or two.
